The Los Angeles Lakers are going to be as aggressive as they can be leading up to the NBA trade deadline. They are 21-20 at the midway point of the season, which is well below the expectations they carried into the regular season.
Los Angeles looked at themselves as championship contenders despite what people thought about their offseason moves. It is championship or bust when you have LeBron James on your team, and as things currently stand, they look more like a bust.
21-20 isn’t bad considering the circumstances the Lakers have faced. James has missed 12 games while Anthony Davis has missed 14 and counting. Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony have both appeared in all 41 games this season and are the only players on the roster to not miss at least five games.
The constant shuffling of the lineup and going a stretch without head coach Frank Vogel has made this a difficult season to navigate thus far. But, every team has faced issues, whether it was from players entering the league’s health and safety protocols or injuries.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Pacers’ Myles Turner To Be Moved At NBA Trade Deadline?
Rob Pelinka will have his hands full trying to upgrade the roster ahead of the deadline, but he will do everything he can to help get this team in a position to win a championship. One player that could be on their radar is Indiana Pacers center, Myles Turner.
Turner would fix a lot of the team’s issues on both ends of the court. His presence as the starting center would enable them to play Davis more at power forward, which he prefers.
What could it take for the Los Angeles Lakers to land Myles Turner in a deal from the Indiana Pacers? It won’t be easy, but here are two trade packages that could get the deal done.
