Golden State Warriors Receive: C Myles Turner, G/F Jeremy Lamb
Indiana Pacers Receive: F Andrew Wiggins, 2022 First-Round Draft Pick
The Golden State Warriors likely aren’t going to make a splash move in the regular season. However, if you want to acquire a potential difference-making player, you need to sacrifice something to do so.
In this deal, the Warriors do just that. Golden State upgrades in the middle, landing Myles Turner. The Warriors are already an elite team on both ends of the court and Turner will just cement that. He is an elite rim protector, leading the NBA in blocks for what would be the third time in four seasons.
Offensively, Turner is a good 3-point shooter. But, he has shown this season he is more than just that, as he is in the midst of the best shooting season of his career. Golden State would likely get him in more positions to score than the Pacers have.
Coming along with Turner is Jeremy Lamb. Lamb will provide some more depth on the wing and is someone Indiana has been looking to move. He will be needed in Golden State as he can help compensate for some of the scoring punch the team will be losing from Andrew Wiggins.

Wiggins is an excellent addition for a Pacers team that knows they need to shake things up but don’t want to go into a full-on rebuild. He provides the team with a long-term answer on the wing, something Indiana doesn’t currently possess.
The first-round pick is a nice addition for Indiana as well. They may be getting the highest-upside player in the deal in Wiggins and a first-round pick to boot? Both teams get what they want from a deal like this.
