The Golden State Warriors are back. After spending two seasons outside of the playoffs, they have announced themselves as contenders once again as they have the second-best record in the NBA behind the Phoenix Suns.

Before this week, it was the Warriors who had the best record in the NBA. They hit a little rough patch this season, but nonetheless, are still among the elite in the league.

Golden State could get even better in the coming days when Klay Thompson is expected to make his return to the lineup.

Thompson has missed more than two years of action with a torn ACL and Achilles injury. He last played in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors and a lot has changed since then.
