Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers have made the playoffs three of the last four seasons since trading Paul George to the Oklahoma City Thunder following the 2016-17 season, but they have not won a playoff series since 2014 and they are a team that always seem to underachieve.

After failing to make the playoffs last season for the first-time since 2015, the Pacers looked to bounce-back this season with Rick Carlisle coaching the team, but the opposite has occurred.

The Indiana Pacers are just 14-25 on the season and while they are within striking distance of the play-in tournament still, it will take a miracle for this team to turn things around rapidly.

Other than Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon, it is hard to pinpoint where offensive production comes from for this team, which has led to rumors about their future.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Atlanta Hawks ‘Emerging Suitor’ For Ben Simmons Trade

Early in December, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that the Indiana Pacers were on the verge of a rebuild and that they would be receptive to trade offers for not only Caris LeVert and Myles Turner, but All-Star Domantas Sabonis as well.

Since then, management and ownership has shot down these rumors and the team has not made any catastrophic moves, so what is next for the Indiana Pacers?

They look far off from being a real threat in the Eastern Conference and with not a lot of future value on their roster, it is hard to envision that the Pacers will just sit back and watch the fireworks at the trade deadline.

This team is just one big firework just waiting to be lit.

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Atlanta Hawks ‘Emerging Suitor’ For Ben Simmons Trade

The Indiana Pacers cannot go on any longer being the same team if they are to try and get back to being a real title threat in the Eastern Conference, which is why they could very well find themselves in a situation where Brogdon and Sabonis are the only guys safe from a trade this season.

Teams are going to be calling Indiana left and right leading up to the trade deadline this season and it would be shocking if Myles Turner, Caris LeVert, Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdon are still together on February 11.
