2. Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers could be preparing for a bit of a rebuild. It was reported that they were open for business, but with Rick Carlisle as head coach and the Pacers playing in a small market, it is hard to imagine the team going into a full teardown rebuild.

Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner and Caris LeVert were three of the players mentioned as possibly being on the trade block. Miami may not have interest in any of those players, but the Pacers would likely be interested in landing Duncan Robinson.

The Pacers saw Doug McDermott depart in free agency this past summer and the team didn’t bring in anyone to replace his skill set. Robinson would be a nice replacement for him on the wing as a 3-point sniper that the team is missing.

The Pacers are 21st in 3-point makes and 28th in 3-point percentage despite ranking 16th in attempts per game. Those numbers just do not correlate, so adding a high-volume, efficient shooter in Robinson would help them turn those stats around.

His contract may be a bit of a deterrent, as the Pacers sound like they want to slash payroll not add it. But there is no denying that Robinson’s skill set would be perfect for them.
