Plenty of teams would like to have a player like Simmons on the court playing for them, including the 76ers. Despite everything that has happened, they are still hoping that he returns to the court to play for them.

The 76ers can want Simmons back all they want, but it does not seem like he is interested in playing for them. The two sides cannot even get on the same page about a game plan to improve his mental health, it is hard to imagine they can get on the same page enough that he would return and play for them again.

At this point, a trade seems best for both sides. It would enable the Philadelphia 76ers to move on with some added talent to their roster and Ben Simmons can continue his career elsewhere.
