3. Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets are one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NBA. They have a lot of great young players that play at a fast pace. Highlights occur regularly in Hornets games as LaMelo Ball shows off his elite passing skills with Miles Bridges a frequent recipient.

Unfortunately for the Hornets, as often as they create highlights they give them up. Charlotte has been abysmal defensively this season, which has undone any positive work they have done on offense.

Looking to cement themselves as playoff contenders in the Eastern Conference, the Hornets would love to acquire Anthony Davis. He would legitimize the team and help shore things up for them defensively.

Offensively he would give them someone they can throw the ball to in the halfcourt and get a basket. While they thrive in the open court, they do not always find the same level of success in the halfcourt court.

If they want to succeed in the postseason, they need to find success in the halfcourt when the game slows down as well. Charlotte has numerous young players they could include in a trade to help the Los Angeles Lakers replenish the roster and draft capital.

P.J. Washington and James Bouknight are two young players that could be involved. Mason Plumlee, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Terry Rozier could be used to help match salaries. Charlotte owns a first-round pick every year going forward and would likely surrender at least three in a deal for Davis.
