1. Robert Covington
This option is bordering on unrealistic for the Milwaukee Bucks but would represent a perfect fit for their frontcourt. Robert Covington is someone that could really help bolster the Bucks’ chances at repeating as champion.
Covington would bring a lot of the same similarities that P.J. Tucker did to the team last season. While not as burly and bulky, Covington has the versatility to defend virtually every position on the court. He has experience playing the center spot and both forward positions as well.
Offensively, he is a more than capable 3-point shooter. He has connected on 35.7 percent of his 3-point attempts in his career, providing much-needed floor-spacing for a Bucks team that thrives with shooters around Giannis Antetokounmpo.
With no timeline for Brook Lopez’s return, bolstering the frontcourt depth would be a sound move for Milwaukee. Bobby Portis is the only other big man with experience unless they were going to move Antetokounmpo into the center spot more often.

But, figuring out a way to match salary could provide difficult. Even including the $4.6 million that Donte DiVincenzo is owed, Milwaukee would still need to cobble together about $5.5 million more in salary.
That won’t prove easy unless the team wants to part ways with Pat Connaughton or George Hill, which is extremely unlikely. But, there is an avenue to getting a package done that would land Covington with the Bucks, as they could include their 2022 first-round pick in a deal.
