The Atlanta Hawks are a team that will be looking to make some moves in the coming weeks ahead of the 2022 NBA trade deadline. At 17-20 on the season, something needs to change if they are to qualify for the postseason a second straight year.

The Hawks have been unable to consistently replicate the success that helped lead them to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021. Their defense has been a big issue, again, as they give up far too many easy baskets.

Atlanta has the worst transition defense in the NBA, giving up the most points per possession on plays that end in a turnover despite ranking near the top of the NBA in the fewest turnovers per game.

Opponents are taking advantage of the opportunities presented to them, even if it comes after a made Hawks basket.
