Los Angeles Lakers Receive: F Julius Randle, G Kemba Walker, G Immanuel Quickley, C Mitchell Robinson, F Kevin Knox II, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2023 First-Round Pick (via DAL), 2024 First-Round Pick

A blockbuster of this proportion is unlikely to occur in season, especially in this COVID-19 ravaged one. The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks have both been disappointing thus far this season, so in this hypothetical deal, they make some big changes.

The Knicks were one of the teams Anthony Davis reportedly was looking to get traded to when the New Orleans Pelicans made him available, so they get their man now.

Tom Thibodeau loves himself some veterans and he is getting a bunch in this deal along with Davis. Joining Davis is four players on veteran minimum deals in Dwight Howard, Avery Bradley, Wayne Ellington and Kent Bazemore.

They will all be needed as New York is surrendering a lot of depth in this trade, which isn’t a surprise given the caliber of player they are acquiring in Davis. To land him, the New York Knicks dip into their collection of assets.

Julius Randle was an All-Star last season but has not been the same thus far this season. Could playing alongside LeBron James and becoming a second or third option help get him back on track?

Kemba Walker provides the backcourt with another scoring punch and 3-point shooting. Immanuel Quickley does the same with improving playmaking and defense.

He could be a long-term building block for the Los Angeles Lakers, along with Mitchell Robinson, that can also help out immediately for a contending team. Kevin Knox II would fall into the same category as a player with potential that has shown improvement as a floor spacer.
