For years, the Houston Rockets have been one of the better teams in the Western Conference and in the NBA, but all eras come to an end at some point. After trading away James Harden last season, all that remains from their championship contending teams is veteran wing Eric Gordon.
Now 33-years-old and coming off a groin injury last season, many believed that Gordon would not be much of an impact player anymore, but he has been fantastic to this point in the season.
Playing in 30 of the Rockets’ 35 total games this season, Eric Gordon has averaged 14.6 points, 3.4 assists and has shot 49.5% from the floor, 45.1% from three-point range.
Not only has the veteran shooting guard been one of the more consistent scorers on this young Rockets’ roster, but he ranks 5th in the league in three-point shooting percentage and is one of the more reliable players in the entire NBA.
