This ATL-IND-MEM Trade Is Centered Around Cam Reddish

Cam Reddish, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, NBA Trade Rumors

The Atlanta Hawks made it all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, but that seems like so long ago given their 15-18 start to this season. With almost their entire roster in health and safety protocols and others dealing with injuries, the Hawks just have not been able to find any stability this NBA season.

Defense has been a problem for them, as the Hawks rank just 26th in the league in defensive rating, and surprisingly, they have not been as good of a three-point shooting team as advertised in the past in terms of volume.

Atlanta is only averaging 32.5 three-point attempts per game, 25th in the league, and while they are shooting 37.9% from deep as a team, they are only making about 12.3 threes per game, 15th best in the league.

This team is on the outside of the playoff picture looking in and if they are to have a shot at making it back to the ECF, then they will need to be willing to let go of some of their key talents. Trae Young, John Collins, Clint Capela, and Kevin Huerter are all locked up on long-term deals, opening up the potential for a trade involving either De’Andre Hunter or Cam Reddish.

With Hunter being out due to a wrist injury, the Hawks have been rumored to be open to trading Reddish for the right price. Having one year left on his rookie contract and playing his best basketball since being drafted, Cam Reddish is drawing a lot of interest across the league.

His “3-and-D” nature on the wing is something many teams are intrigued about and one of those teams could very well be the Indiana Pacers. At just 14-20 on the season, the Pacers are struggling once again and it is looking like they could ultimately rebuild.

Should the Pacers decide to rebuild ahead of the NBA trade deadline, not only could Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner be on the move, but Caris LeVert could be a player that teams target as well.

Adding more youthful, dynamic talents to their roster is something that could end up being appealing to the Indiana Pacers and Cam Reddish certainly fits this mold. Could we see the Hawks end up trading one of their better young talents to the Pacers to get more “win-now” players?

Let’s take a look at a three-team trade that not only involves the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers but the Memphis Grizzlies as well.
