3 Trade Targets For Chicago Bulls To Gear Up For Title Run

Chicago Bulls, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Chicago Bulls have been one of the best teams in the NBA in the early going of the 2021-22 season. They are currently 19-10 and trails only the Brooklyn Nets in the Eastern Conference standings.

The moves that Chicago made in the offseason have paid dividends thus far. DeMar DeRozan has been excellent, leading the team with 26.8 points per game. He is finding some level of comfort at the 3-point line, making almost one a game thus far, which has helped with the team’s spacing.

DeRozan is also chipping in 5.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 35.1 minutes per game. Lonzo Ball, the team’s new starting point guard, has also played well. He is continuing to knock down 3-pointers at a good clip, connecting on 41.9 percent of his attempts. Ball is averaging a solid 13.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game.

Alex Caruso, who was signed away from the Los Angeles Lakers, leads the team with 2.0 steals per game despite coming off the bench. He is also averaging 8.4 points to go along with 4.0 assists per game as an impact player on the second unit.

Billy Donovan has pushed all of the right buttons thus far, but the roster could use some reinforcements. Chicago was already thin on depth before starting power forward Patrick Williams went down with a wrist injury that has kept him sidelined.

Even before that, the Bulls should have been on the lookout for some additions to the team. With him out, that need is exacerbated even more. Here are three players Chicago should target to bolster their chances of making a run at the title.
