Jerami Grant is currently in the second of a three-year deal he signed with the Detroit Pistons. With the current direction of the Pistons, a veteran with one year left on his contract does not fit the mold. This is where a trade will come into play.
Grant has already been put on the block and there are teams interested. The Los Angeles Lakers should be at the top of the list. This is a team that has not held back when looking for players to help win championships.
It has been a rocky start but the lineup is beginning to get healthy and turn things around a bit. Grant would bring some more ability on both ends.
During his time in Detroit, Grant has showed that he can score at a high rate night in and night out. He would not be asked to do so in a lineup with LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis but it is nice to have.

Grant is one of the best three-and-D players in the league. His defensive ability would benefit the Lakers more the anything.
The Lakers will clearly do what it takes to win a championship. This means they will continue to be aggressive and make a move if one presents itself.
