Would this trade make sense for the Orlando Magic?
The Orlando Magic have a clear direction and that is all that can be asked of a rebuilding team. The Magic sent away their big names last season and this set their sights on getting younger. This begins with the backcourt and they could still be looking to add some more pieces.
Cole Anthony is looking like a rising star who can be a focal point of the team. If Suggs reaches his potential, the Magic could become an intriguing destination. Cam Reddish would be able to add to that.
Not only does he fit into today’s NBA mold using his 6-foot-8 frame as a shooter, but he also fits the plan for Orlando. Reddish is a developing, young player with a high ceiling.
Franz Wagner has been highly impressive in his rookie campaign. The Magic could work Reddish into the mix and let him mesh with the other wings in the rotation. Having multiple wings can go a long way and this would be an intriguing way to accomplish that.
