Harrison Barnes — Sacramento Kings
There is a sense that after the latest disappointing start to a season, the Sacramento Kings could be willing to move on from a few of their veterans signed to larger contracts. Perhaps the most intriguing of them all for contenders around the league is Harrison Barnes.
Barnes has cooled off a bit since his scorching hot start to the 2021-22 campaign. However, he’s still averaging an impressive 17.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while converting at a 38.1% clip from beyond the arc.
Having a shooting threat at 6-foot-8 can enable plenty of intriguing potential lineup combinations. Harrison Barnes offers that and can slide over to the four spot in most situations and make an impact spacing the floor and attacking off the catch, running the floor in transition, and getting downhill using DHOs or ball screens.
An underrated element of Barnes’ offensive skill-set is his ability to operate as a screener out of horns sets and to attack mismatches around the nail/elbow area in the Kings’ offense over the years. More plays that can add versatility to screening actions and get a bucket would help the Utah Jazz.

There is a lot of options that a half-court offense gains by adding Harrison Barnes into a half-court offense in the right role. He has been on teams that have needed him to play a larger than ideal role since his days with the Golden State Warriors but has added to his game since.
