The Sacramento Kings are itching to make a trade. There is a lot of pressure on people within the organization to turn things around as they are currently riding a 15-year playoff drought. It is tied for the longest in NBA history and that is a record that ownership does not want to be in sole possession of.
The Kings are likely going to be battling it out for a spot in the NBA Play-In Tournament, but they are currently only four games behind the Los Angeles Lakers, who are in sixth place in the Western Conference, the last spot that avoids the Play-In Tournament.
Making a push for the postseason, the Kings are expected to be active leading up to the February 10th trade deadline. Two players to keep an eye on are Harrison Barnes and Buddy Hield.
Hield has been on the trade block for a long time, as he was almost dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers during the most recent offseason.

Trading away Barnes, who has been the team’s most consistent player, would be shocking as they aim to snap the playoff drought. But, he would provide the team with an opportunity to land a strong return package.
If the Kings fall short of the postseason and look to make some drastic changes, point guard De’Aaron Fox could be made available. Sacramento wouldn’t be hurting for options to replace him as they used their first-round picks in 2020 and 2021 on point guards in Tyrese Haliburton and Davion Mitchell.
Trading Fox would likely be the team’s best chance to retool and balance out the roster. Which players could the team target in exchange for him? Here are three players that the Kings should look to acquire in a deal for Fox.
