Dallas Mavericks Receive: G Ben Simmons, G Kemba Walker
New York Knicks Receive: F Charles Bassey
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Jalen Brunson, G Tim Hardaway Jr., F Dorian Finney-Smith, 2025 DAL First-Round Pick (Lottery Protected)

There’s a bit to unpack in this NBA trade scenario from Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz.

The clear focus among of all of these moving parts would be Ben Simmons being on the move from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Dallas Mavericks — ending many months of a standoff.

Simmons would form a “Big 3” with the Mavericks given the tandem of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis would still be intact after this trade.

There was some speculation of the Mavericks having a logical outcome to move Porzingis in a Simmons deal, but that would be happening in this instance. Instead, it would be Jalen Brunson, Tim Hardaway Jr., Dorian Finney-Smith, and a future lottery protected first-rounder included.
