What Jazz Are Pursuing Ahead Of Trade Deadline — Revealed

Utah Jazz, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

While the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns have been garnering a ton of headlines around the NBA for their play in the Western Conference, the Utah Jazz has been chugging right along not too far behind.

The Jazz is currently riding a seven-game winning streak, pushing their record to 19-7 on the season, only 2.5 games behind the Warriors and a half-game behind the Suns.

Utah has been one of the most consistent regular-season teams in the NBA in recent years, but they have been unable to breakthrough in the postseason. They have only three series wins in five years.

This season, they are hoping to buck that trend. Utah brought back nearly its entire rotation from last season, as their core remained intact. They upgraded the bench with Rudy Gay and Hassan Whiteside, but the rest of the rotation is essentially the same.

That gives them an edge when it comes to chemistry and cohesion over other teams, but they are not content with that. Utah is still looking to upgrade its roster and according to The Athletic, a paid-subscription website, they are in the market for a defensive-minded wing.

That report was confirmed by Bleacher Report, who went even more in-depth, sharing that the Jazz has been on the look for a player that fits that description since draft night over the summer.

Utah is seeking a player that can help bolster their starting five, which is a bit surprising to hear. The Jazz has had the same starting lineup for all but five games this season and it seems odd that they would want to disrupt that group.

Based on what they are looking for, it would be assumed that Bojan Bogdanovic or Royce O’Neale would be moved to the second unit if they are not included in the deal. Bogdanovic, along with Joe Ingles, was involved in some trade rumors in the offseason.

To make that upgrade to the roster, Bleacher Report shared that the Utah Jazz is willing to trade away a first-round pick. The team that they make a deal with will be waiting a while for that pick to convey as 2027 is the next pick that Utah has available to trade.
