Domantas Sabonis – Indiana Pacers
With the Pacers heading towards a rebuild, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that the team will not only listen to offers for Myles Turner and Caris LeVert but All-Star forward Domantas Sabonis as well.
Building off the idea of adding another frontcourt weapon that can run pick-and-roll sets with De’Aaron Fox, Sabonis would thrive in Sacramento because they would be able to play through him.
Since the start of the 2019-20 season, Domantas Sabonis has averaged 19.3 points, 12.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and has shot 54.6% from the floor. Doing most of his damage on offense in the paint/low-post, Sabonis the perfect trade target for the Kings in a Hield-Bagley trade, especially since there could be a willingness from Indiana to trade their All-Star to a Western Conference team.
We mentioned the Kings’ 15-year playoff drought earlier and in order for them to snap this, they just need more high-level play from their roster. Of the guys currently on their roster, De’Aaron Fox is their only All-Star-like player, which is why adding Domantas Sabonis could result in them taking the next step as a franchise.

He can do a little bit of everything on the offensive end of the floor and next to Richaun Holmes in the frontcourt, the Kings would suddenly have a very balanced-looking core with Fox, Haliburton, Barnes, Sabonis and Holmes.
This is a move that propels the Kings into the playoff conversation in the Western Conference, somewhere they have not been in over a decade. Their front-office has to make a big move at some point and adding Domantas Sabonis would be a significant, positive change for this franchise.
However, Jason Anderson reported earlier this week that the Pacers are not pursuing Sabonis or Turner from Indiana.
Should the Kings pursue Domantas Sabonis? Yes, they should.
