Ben Simmons – Philadelphia 76ers

Ben Simmons wants out of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia 76ers want him out as well, but they are not just going to trade him for a box of popcorn and a $5 movie voucher!

Daryl Morey and this front-office have been very clear that they want All-Star value in return for Simmons, something the Kings really only have with De’Aaron Fox, even though he is not an All-Star, but they have made their intentions to keep Fox very clear.

The Kings have been unwilling to give up Tyrese Haliburton as well, leaving their best package for Simmons being Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley III, and some draft compensation.

Philadelphia has declined this trade package in the past and will likely do so again given that they are receiving a wide amount of interest in their All-Star, but Simmons would be a great fit in Sacramento.

Not only does he want to play in California, but Simmons would have the freedom to do basically whatever he wants to do on this team next to De’Aaron Fox. In pick-and-roll situations, he could suddenly become an offensive threat, and defensively, he would work wonders for this team.

The Kings have looked better defensively than their defensive rating of 27th in the league says, but this is definitely an area in which they could use a player like Simmons.

This is the best move the Sacramento Kings could make in a trade involving both Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley, but the chances of it happening are very, very slim because the 76ers are in the driver’s seat for what they want in a trade centered around Ben Simmons.

Philadelphia is going to receive a lot of interest in Ben Simmons now that most all of the players that signed contracts this past offseason are eligible to be traded, so they will most likely be able to find the talent that they are looking for.

The Kings do not have the talent the 76ers are searching for right now, hence why this trade will not happen.
