Portland Trail Blazers Receive: F Tobias Harris, G Tyrese Maxey, G/F Matisse Thybulle, 2022 First-Round Pick (top-10 protected)
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G Damian Lillard, C Cody Zeller
This hypothetical trade was proposed by Bobby Marks over at ESPN. Five trade proposals were put together by their NBA experts should the Portland Trail Blazers decide they want to embark on a rebuild.
In this deal, they do more of a re-tooling than full-on rebuilding. It is shocking to see a deal made between Portland and the Philadelphia 76ers not involving Ben Simmons, but this is the path that Marks took.
Portland is turning Damian Lillard into multiple rotation pieces to strengthen the team. Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey and Matisse Thybulle would help provide the team with flexibility but also keep them competitive this season.
First-round picks are always nice to receive in a deal, especially since Portland traded their own in the offseason in the deal that netted them Larry Nance Jr. Recouping that is a solid move for the organization.
