Caris LeVert — Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets have been title contenders in recent years. This was the expectation coming in but injuries seem to be catching up to the team. This is why they should look for a trade at the deadline to put another big-name player next to Nikola Jokic for the remainder of the season.
Jamal Murray remains sidelined with a knee injury and there is no timetable for his return. Michael Porter Jr. is out for the season with a back injury and this leaves the Nuggets very thin.
Jokic is one of the best players in the league but we have seen teams load up on stars. The Nuggets are hovering around .500. This can change if they bring in another perimeter scorer for the remainder of the season.
LeVert is just that. When Murray returns, LeVert can continue to produce as the shooting guard within the offense. The fit works and it gives Denver some more options heading into the postseason.
