It sounds as if the Indiana Pacers are preparing to make some big changes regarding their roster ahead of the NBA trade deadline. They are currently 10-16 and in 13th place in the Eastern Conference without a real game plan in terms of climbing back up the standings.
Earlier in the season, the Pacers could say that injuries were holding them back, and they were. Malcolm Brogdon and Caris LeVert had both missed time, but even with their starting backcourt in the fold, Indiana has struggled to find any consistency.
As a result, the Pacers might be ready to blow things up and head toward a rebuild. A recent report shared that LeVert, Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner could all be on the trade block if that is the route that the team chooses to take.
One player absent from that list that may surprise some people is TJ Warren. Warren is recovering from a foot operation in January and working his way back to the court. On an expiring deal, many people thought he was someone that could eventually be traded. Instead, it has been reported that Warren is hoping the exact opposite occurs.

According to The Athletic, Warren doesn’t want to go anywhere and wants to remain with the Pacers.
“Sources tell The Athletic that Warren has expressed to management that he’d like to remain in Indianapolis.”
Warren garnered a lot of attention for his performance at the Orlando Bubble in 2020 when he was unstoppable offensively. The Pacers were excited about what he would bring to the table once the 20201-21 season kicked off, but unfortunately, it wasn’t much of anything.
The NC State product appeared in only four games before his season ended because of the foot injury. He is still working his way back from the injury, as he progressed to some on-court work in recent weeks.

TJ Warren is a versatile scoring forward that would certainly help the Indiana Pacers, who have oddly shrunk Sabonis’s role on offense. Coming off of a major injury, remaining in Indiana to rehab his value may be the best course of action for him.
