2. New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have been aggressive. Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker signed in free agency in the offseason. So far, they have looked like a ground ball to second base rather than a home run.
Walker is no longer in the rotation and the Knicks are hovering around .500. Despite the presence of Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson, the Knicks could continue to improve the frontcourt.
Robinson is a game changer on the defensive end and an established lob catcher. His offensive game leaves much else to be desired. The Knicks have to decide whether he is going to be a cornerstone that gets paid or trade bait. Myles Turner brings a more polished offensive game and a similar level of defensive prowess.
Again, this is a center who led the league in blocks last season. Randle has turned into a stretch four and Turner’s game would compliment well.

The Knicks came into the season with postseason hopes but have not looked the part just yet. The front office must remain aggressive at the trade deadline if they want to compete with the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
