Would this trade make sense for the Indiana Pacers?
There’s some risk involved with any team who would take on Kemba Walker in a potential trade. The Boston Celtics tried to move on from him due to his knee issues and it’s clear he isn’t the player he once was.
For the Indiana Pacers, there is no harm in trying to make a change given they have a record better than only the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons in the whole Eastern Conference.
With TJ McConnell sidelined indefinitely, the Pacers could another point guard in the mix other than Brad Wanamaker to throw out there.
It’s worth taking into consideration that Walker has another year on his current contract. Having McConnell set to earn $8.1 million next season would make for a lot of money going toward backup point guards. Of course, moving on from one of them is an option considering only Jeremy Lamb would be involved to get a deal done.
