Bamba is a former lottery pick that has not been able to remain on the floor. He has struggled with injuries and this has significantly impacted his development.
As he searches for a new contract, the Magic can use him as a trade piece. If there is one place for a young player to develop, it is Los Angeles.
Bamba would have a chance to learn from Davis, who remains one of the best big men in the league. This could add some more deaths for Los Angeles and give them a player with a high ceiling.
