Damian Lillard has been classy and taken the high road in public but it is unknown how he actually feels about the situation in Portland with the Trail Blazers. The Blazers have been unable to take the next step in the postseason so the front office could decide to make some big moves.
If trading CJ McCollum is the way to make it happen then that is what the team will have to do. If Damian Lillard does not request a trade, it seems unlikely that the Trail Blazers make a deal that involves him.
Overall, the Portland Trai Blazers need to make some noise quickly or we could see the situation blown up a bit. Norman Powell re-signed with the team in the offseason so there are some pieces to work with.
Brandon Ingram would just add to this in many ways offensively. It all comes down to what the New Orleans Pelicans would want back in return.

If the return makes sense for the Trail Blazers, this is a deal that could get done because of the benefits for both sides. Portland needs to continue to take steps forward in order to compete in the postseason.
