The Denver Nuggets have really struggled recently as their record has dropped to 9-9 on the 2021-22 NBA season. They have lost five games in a row as the injury bug has hit them rather hard in the early going of the season.
Denver came into the season knowing they would be without their starting point guard, Jamal Murray, for a majority of the 2021-22 season. He tore his ACL on April 15th, so he will likely be sidelined a few more months at a minimum.
Replacing your starting point guard is tough enough, but the Nuggets have reigning MVP Nikola Jokic that they can run their offense through. However, they are now dealing with a potential long-term injury to Michael Porter Jr.
Porter signed a max contract extension this offseason but struggled out of the gates. It was eventually revealed that he was suffering from a back injury and it is bad enough that he may need another surgery on it.

Without those two, the Nuggets are going to struggle to stay afloat. No team has the depth to overcome two losses of that magnitude, so the Nuggets may have to go outside the organization to add some depth in the frontcourt.
If the Nuggets aren’t going to unleash Bol Bol, they should look to use him as a trade chip to acquire someone that might be able to aid them. This hypothetical trade proposed over at Bleacher Report involving the Oklahoma City Thunder accomplishes just that.
