How This Trade Impacts Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors finally land the All-Star player they have been seeking this offseason in this scenario. Pascal Siakam is a real game-changer for the Warriors and will help them keep their championship window open.

Siakam can slide right into the starting lineup alongside Draymond Green, giving Golden State two versatile forwards at their disposal. Siakam can defend multiple positions with his athleticism and length and be very disruptive on the defensive end.

On offense, he struggled with 3-point shooting this past season, but it was an area he was improving in. Being surrounded by a better supporting cast and not having to create as much for himself should help get his efficiency back up.

Despite the struggles from distance, Siakam still averaged 21.4 points per game, giving the Warriors another go-to scoring option behind Stephen Curry and hopefully a healthy Klay Thompson.

While a lot of the attention is focused on Siakam, and rightfully so, Chris Boucher should not be forgotten. He is a solid addition to the Warriors frontcourt in this hypothetical deal.

Boucher offers an intriguing skill set, as he made 38.3 percent of his 3-pointers last season while blocking 1.9 shots in only 24.2 minutes per game. If the Warriors wanted to go big in their starting lineup, he could help provide floor-spacing they don’t get from Green.

While the Warriors deplete a majority of their assets available to trade in this deal, it is one they will gladly make. Their championship window is propped open longer with the additions of Siakam and Boucher.
