Best Trade Destination No. 1: LA Clippers

The LA Clippers are in a tough spot as they try and navigate the season without superstar Kawhi Leonard. It is anyone’s guess when Leonard will be able to make a return to the court after injuring his knee in the postseason, but the Clippers should still be looking for ways to upgrade the team.

The center spot could be where they need the most help. Myles Turner could help them, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

Through three games, starting center Ivica Zubac has failed to block a single shot. His backup, Isaiah Hartenstein, has blocked one. Without Serge Ibaka, the team doesn’t have much of an interior presence defensively and Turner would change that.

Turner is an elite rim protector. He led the NBA with 3.4 blocks per game, the second time in three seasons he was the leading shot blocker. His presence as an anchor would give the Clippers a truly elite unit defensively with Leonard healthy and Paul George also in the fold.

While Zubac and Hartenstein might be better rebounders than Turner, they don’t offer much in the way of floor spacing either. Turner, a 35.4 percent shooter from long distance, would help open things up a little more on offense as well.
