Would this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?

The Sacramento Kings signed De’Aaron Fox to an extension this offseason and he was thought to be the centerpiece of the franchise. That could still be the case but at this point, no one is off-limits. Despite flexibility on the floor, Sacramento has been unable to build a winner so no one should be considered safe.

The Kings know that if they were to make a trade, Fox would bring back the largest return. He is an NBA All-Star caliber point guard that has proven himself in the lead.

When looking at the return, Kristaps Porzingis is a good option when healthy. He brings an intriguing dynamic as a stretch-big that could add needed shooting to the roster.

Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson has played more minutes for Dallas as of late off the bench and has been quite impressive. He could bring some more leadership to Sacramento as a sixth-man as the team embraces Tyrese Haliburton and Davion Mitchell.

It is clear that the Kings need to start going in a different direction. They have been unable to build a winner and it is unlikely to happen anytime soon. This is why the front office could be looking for blockbuster deals to reshape.
