Miami Heat Receive: G Kyrie Irving
Brooklyn Nets Receive: G Kyle Lowry, F PJ Tucker, 2025 First-Round Pick

The clear headliner of this NBA trade scenario would be Kyrie Irving, who would be headed from the Brooklyn Nets to the Miami Heat. However, the other side of this exchange would not be shy of star power either.

The Nets would get an immediate point guard replacement in Kyle Lowry — slotting alongside James Harden in the backcourt. The defensive presence Lowry brings would help to make the Nets a more defensive-focused unit as a whole — something that lacks with Irving.

Lowry brings a more reliable element from an off-court perspective than Irving and while he isn’t an elite isolation or pick-and-roll scorer like Irving, Lowry is still a very formidable shot creator and playmaker.

PJ Tucker would be a cheap option for the Nets to take a flier on for the season. He’s getting up there in age but he still has value he can provide on both ends.

The Heat would be landing a superstar — something the team missed out on when big names like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kawhi Leonard agreed to contract extensions with their current teams.

How does this deal impact both teams involved? Let’s take a look at it from each of their perspectives, starting with the Miami Heat.
