As the NBA regular season continues to roll on, NBA All-Star Ben Simmons has still not played a game for the Philadelphia 76ers. This was to be expected and it is unlikely that he will. Philadelphia continues to look for a trade for a player they can come in and make an impact right away.

If that is the plan for the Sixers, they could look to the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte signed Terry Rozier to an extension in the offseason. They also sent Devonte’ Graham to the New Orleans Pelicans in a sign-and-trade deal.

The shuffle in the backcourt was so that the team can continue to build around LaMelo Ball. Charlotte is a team looking to contend for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and could look to add another big name next to their franchise point guard.

Simmons could be that player. He has an interest in playing for a contender and could be a piece that helps the Hornets take the next step. The Sixers are going to be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference without Simmons on the floor.
