1. Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder are in the midst of a rebuild themselves. They accomplished the hard part in finding a player to build around, as have a budding superstar in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. But, he needs some help.

Josh Giddey has had some strong performances to start his NBA career and could be the backcourt of the future along with SGA. But, the team is lacking in wing options, which is where Kevin Knox II could come in.

The Thunder would be able to stick him right into the rotation from the start. If given consistent minutes, he could start tapping into the immense potential that he possesses, which led to him being selected No. 9 overall just a few years ago.

Oklahoma City struggles mightily shooting the ball from the 3-point line as Mike Muscala and rookie Jeremiah Robinson-Earl are the only players who make at least one 3-pointer per game connecting at a 40 percent clip or better. Gilgeous-Alexander and Kenrich Williams are the only other players even near league average from distance.

For his career, Knox is only a 34.5 percent shooter, but he looked to be making strides last season when he knocked down 39.3 percent. If that improvement isn’t a fluke, he would become one of the best shooters on the Thunder and earn some minutes.

To make this deal, the New York Knicks could swap Knox for Williams. Williams is a steady defender and solid shooter, something Tom Thibodeau values in his players. As an emergency player, Thibodeau would likely have more confidence turning to Williams over Knox.
