How This Trade Impacts New York Knicks

The New York Knicks have put together a very strong roster. Their rotation can go 10 or 11 deep before even considering their new crop of rookies they have. As a result, they could look to move someone like Kevin Knox II.

Knox hasn’t been able to find his footing in the NBA thus far. He was the 9th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and was considered a raw prospect. Unfortunately, he has not shown enough progress to warrant minutes on this Knicks team.

If Tom Thibodeau isn’t confident in Knox handling minutes, they should look to flip him for someone that he could be more confident in. Kenrich Williams could be that player.

Williams is a solid forward that can help at multiple positions. He does a little bit of everything on offense, as he scores efficiently, showed some 3-point shooting prowess and playmaking chops as well.

Where he is a big upgrade over Knox would be on defense. That was a big reason that Thibodeau removed him from the rotation, as he is an inconsistent defender, to put it nicely. Williams can hold his own and do it against multiple positions.
