After starting the 2021-22 NBA season 3-1, the Minnesota Timberwolves have lost three games in a row. It has caused some commotion, as their star player, center Karl-Anthony Towns, went on social media and liked posts referencing him leaving Minnesota.
Liking something on social media is usually harmless, but when you are a professional athlete liking something pertaining to yourself, it garners a lot of attention. For someone like Towns, it started a firestorm.
But, Towns confirmed that his account was hacked and that he was not the one who liked the tweet. Still, it got people thinking; where could Towns end up if he was actually unhappy with how things are going in Minnesota?
It wouldn’t surprise anyone if he was tired of all of the losing. The Timberwolves have made the postseason once in Towns’ six-year career. That appearance in 2018 is the franchise’s only playoff appearance since 2004.
