This Bulls-Thunder Trade Features Intriguing Wing Option

Chicago Bulls
NBA Analysis Network

The Chicago Bulls were extremely aggressive in the NBA offseason and this led to some big moves that have turned the team around. This is now an organization and expects to make the postseason because of some veteran additions. Now, the Bulls can continue to improve by adding depth to the frontcourt.

It began when Lonzo Ball signed a four-year deal in free agency. The Bulls then acquired DeMar DeRozan in a sign-and-trade deal with the San Antonio Spurs. This duo joins the likes of Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, who was acquired at the trade deadline last year.

This is when the front office showed that they were going to be aggressive in hopes of building a winner sooner rather than later. In the Eastern Conference, this could be extremely possible.

A team on the complete opposite side of the spectrum is the Oklahoma City Thunder. Sam Presti has been sending away big names to build draft capital and has done so over the next half a decade. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander signed a lucrative contract extension to remain in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder have their franchise player in place but it is not much else around them other than players waiting to develop. It will be interesting to see what Presti’s next move is and if he tries to acquire a big name in a trade.

This is not ideal but the Thunder will be able to add some more depth. Let’s take a look at what a potential deal between the Bulls and Thunder might look like at some point going forward.
