There have been a lot of impressive things to take away from the hot start that the Miami Heat has had this NBA season. They are 6-1 so far, tied with the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz for the best records out of the gate.

Pat Riley made numerous moves this offseason to upgrade the roster. Kyle Lowry, P.J. Tucker, and Markieff Morris were their biggest acquisitions. But, the best move that Riley and company seemingly have made was not making a move at all.

Tyler Herro had some breakout performances during the Orlando Bubble in 2020 and expectations were heightened heading into his sophomore season. He, like the team, fell short of those expectations for the 2020-21 season.

Throughout the offseason, there were talks about the team looking to trade Herro. Some Heat insiders thought there was at least a 75 percent chance that he would be on the move. Herro ended up remaining with the Heat, and it has been the best decision the organization has made.
