1. Domantas Sabonis
The Indiana Pacers are a team in need of some changes. They are 2-6 on the season as the issues that plagued them last season under Nate Bjorkgren seemed to run deeper than the head coach. The organization was hopeful replacing Bjorkgren after one season with Rick Carlisle could be enough to turn things around, but thus far, that has not been the case.
If the Pacers are to make a move, many people expect it to come from their frontcourt. The pairing of Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner likely needs to be broken up for the team to take that next step.
Both players are seemingly better fits at the center position. They are an awkward fit at times, so parting ways with one of them would make sense. Turner has been on the trade block for years, but the Dallas Mavericks should see if they can pry Domantas Sabonis out of town.
Domantas Sabonis would be an excellent pairing with Luka Doncic. They are both excellent playmakers, as the Pacers run a lot of their offense through Sabonis, who has averaged 5.0 and 6.7 assists per game the last two seasons as a full-time starter.

His points per game average have increased each season he has been in the NBA as well as he has gotten more comfortable with the ball in his hands and expanded his offensive repertoire. He doesn’t have the floor spacing that Kristaps Porzingis has, but he is a much more consistent threat and doesn’t have the same injury red flags.
It wouldn’t be cheap, but Dallas should explore the possibility of acquiring Domantas Sabonis to get Luka Doncic the All-Star running mate the organization thought Porzingis would be.
