1. Indiana Pacers
There was a lot of chatter involving the Indiana Pacers during the offseason. It seemed inevitable that they would make a move to drastically change the makeup of their roster.
The team was the first to be connected to the Philadelphia 76ers when it came to Ben Simmons. They made a trade offer early in July but were turned down. Rumors persisted involving Simmons up until the regular season, when the Indiana Pacers signed Malcolm Brogdon to an extension, making him ineligible to be traded this season.
Rumors swirled about the Indiana Pacers blowing up their jumbo frontcourt pairing of Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis as well. Alas, nothing came to fruition on that front either.
Indiana seemed to be hopeful that bringing Rick Carlisle back as head coach would help get the team back on track. They underachieved in one season under Nate Bjokgren, missing the postseason for the first time since 2015.

Shaking things up and making a move seems inevitable if the Indiana Pacers want to get this season on track.
