3. LA Clippers
Everyone knew things were going to be difficult for the LA Clippers this season. They are going to be playing without Kawhi Leonard for a majority of it after he injured his knee during Game 4 of their second-round playoff series with the Utah Jazz.
Playing without their best player, the LA Clippers were going to suffer on both ends of the court. But, they are also missing Serge Ibaka and Marcus Morris Sr. has dealt with an injury as well. That has left Paul George to do the heavy lifting on his own.
George already has multiple 40-point performances this season, but he is getting virtually no help. No one else is stepping up consistently to help carry the load, as he is averaging nearly double the number of points per game as the next closest person. George is up to 28.3, while Reggie Jackson is second at 14.2.
The team is 2-4 in the early going, with the single victory being a 30-point blowout over the Portland Trail Blazers. Only three other players are averaging double-figures for points per game. Ivica Zubac and Isaiah Hartenstein are the only rotation players with a PER above league average outside of George.
