There has been some progress made in the stalemate between the Philadelphia 76ers and NBA All-Star Ben Simmons. Simmons has begun the process of reporting to the team, which will bring one act of the saga to an end.
Simmons has been at the 76ers’ practice facility lately and it appears more likely now than ever that he will make a legitimate return to game action.
It still remains to be seen when exactly Ben Simmons plans to make his season debut for the 76ers. An upcoming lengthy road trip could be the best time, but regardless, there just hasn’t been a date specifically set.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings still seek to make a playoff appearance to put an end to a 15-year drought. The team does not seem to have enough firepower currently as constructed in order to get the job done. Could a trade for Simmons make all the difference?
