Would this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
The Sacramento Kings recently signed De’Aaron Fox to a long-term contract but they are not in a position to win now — making him a valuable trade piece because of the return they would get right away.
Deciding on the future of Fox will not be the only question the Kings face moving forward. They have seen many players mentioned in NBA trade rumors such as Buddy Hield and Marvin Bagley III. Fox has not been featured because of his importance to the rotation.
If Fox is moved, this shows that the Kings are serious about moving in a different direction once again. In return, they would get a piece for the future in Corey Kispert, who was selected No. 15 overall in the 2021 NA Draft.
Kispert was a first-round pick of Washington this year and could bring a lot on both ends to the Kings. He could bring a sharpshooting presence alongside Davion Mitchell and Tyrese Haliburton going forward. Sacramento would also get some draft assets to utilize in the future, too.

Sacramento has some personnel and coaching decisions to make this season. It will be nothing short of eventful for the Kings, especially if there is another slow start to the season.
