Orlando Magic
Much like the Houston Rockets, the Orlando Magic are rebuilding and could be looking to add some talent on the wing. Not really being a threat to shoot from long-range as a team and not having much talent on the wing, Orlando could acquire Knox and immediately throw him into lead rotations where he could see upwards of 20-minutes per game.
Gary Harris is a veteran they are going to be looking to move this season, along with Terrence Ross, so the Orlando Magic definitely needs another young wing next to rookie Franz Wagner. Kevin Knox has not been impressive, only averaging 8.5 points per game through three seasons in limited playing time, but here-and-there he shows flashes of his full potential.
Maybe he will not be anything more in this league, but like Houston, the Orlando Magic should be more than willing to throw a future second-round pick to the New York Knicks for the former lottery pick. Jalen Suggs, R.J. Hampton, Jonathan Isaac, and Chuma Okeke are all young, athletic players on this roster, which is why Knox could fit in so well.
Being a strong athlete and someone who can run in transition has always been a potential mold for Knox at the NBA level and given his length, he could fit in nicely next to Jonathan Isaac to make the Magic a somewhat decent defensive-focused team.

Kevin Knox is in no way a “game-changing” talent and he is definitely a long-term project, but being in the final year of his rookie deal, the Orlando Magic would have nothing to lose in this scenario other than a second-round draft pick sometime within the next several years.
