Would this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?

Marvin Bagley III is a former second-overall pick of the Sacramento Kings but it has not worked out yet to this point. Bagley could use a change of scenery and the Kings could reshape the roster even further — offering a chance for both sides to get a fresh start and it is a needed one.

When looking at the return, it is not as big as one could have been. There is not much value surrounding Bagley as teams know that Sacramento needs to move him since he was not part of the rotation at the beginning of the season.

At this point, the Kings should take what they can get in return and that is some contributors who could be thrown into the rotation right away. Bagley might not be worth a first-round draft capital at this point but there could be some production coming to Sacramento in the end.

Jalen Smith, who is a stretch-big on a rookie contract, would be a better fit for Sacramento than Bagley III if Smith pans out. Dario Saric would be included just as a salary filler since he’s out for the remainder of the season due to injury.
