The Philadelphia 76ers announced on Tuesday afternoon that the team had suspended 3x NBA All-Star Ben Simmons one game for conduct that is being described as “detrimental” to the team.

Simmons, who just showed up to the team’s facility last week, will miss Philadelphia’s season-opener in New Orleans on Wednesday night now, but this is just another small thing to happen between Ben Simmons and this organization.

Following the Philadelphia 76ers’ loss in the postseason last season to the Atlanta Hawks, Doc Rivers made some controversial comments in regards to his All-Star “point guard,” stating that he was not sure if Ben Simmons could be a championship-level point guard for a team like the Sixers.

Since then, Rivers has tried to go back and correct his comments, but the damage was done and from then on, Simmons wanted nothing to do with this franchise.
