What’s Nickeil-Alexander Walker’s outlook?
The third-year guard definitely has the ability to make a difference once again off the bench for the New Orleans Pelicans and he could wind up being that third key talent on this roster for the foreseeable future.
Devonte’ Graham will hold a big role in this team’s offensive attack on the perimeter and veteran Tomas Satoransky will also see a lot of playing time, but given his length and athleticism, it is going to be hard for the Pelicans to keep Alexander-Walker off-the-court.
Offensively, he can play with or without the ball in his hands, displaying great mobility on the perimeter, and defensively, his 6’9.5” wingspan allows him to disrupt various passing lanes for his opponents.
No decisions have been made in terms of the Pelicans’ starting rotation heading into the season, but it is hard to imagine that they will not put the young combo-guard in the starting lineup.
