The Sacramento Kings came into the NBA offseason looking to make a splash move. The front office is under a lot of pressure from ownership, as they want to have a winning product as soon as possible.
It has been a while since the Kings were winning games. They have missed the playoffs in 15 straight years, which is tied for the longest drought in NBA history. So, there are a lot of jobs that could be on the line this season.
Head coach Luke Walton may have retained his job only because it would have been too expensive to fire him at this time.
General manager Monte McNair needs to start building up the roster or he could be looking for a new job sooner than later as well.
