Not only do NBA players want to be an All-Star due to the extra money they get from their contracts due to incentives, but every player in the league strives to be the best they can be.

Making the All-Star Game is a huge accomplishment and we have seen quite a few guys over the years breakthrough and make their first All-Star appearance. 

Last season, Jaylen Brown, Zach LaVine, Zion Williamson, Julius Randle, and Mike Conley all made their first All-Star appearance of their career and during the 2019-20 season, 10 different players made their first-ever appearance as an All-Star and that list included guys like Donovan Mitchell, Luka Doncic, Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum, all of which are young faces of the NBA. 

Making the All-Star Game is kind of like the “next step” in a player’s career in terms of achieving greatness and being one of the best players in the NBA.
